Right of withdrawal

There is no statutory right of withdrawal for personalised card decks (§ 312g (2) No. 1 of the German Civil Code, BGB), because the deck is made individually for you from your photos and details. Instead we grant you a voluntary cancellation right until handover to the printer. The sections below explain both and contain the statutory model withdrawal form for cases in which a right of withdrawal does apply (e.g. non-personalised products).

Voluntary cancellation right until handover to the printer

Until we hand your print job to the printer – as a rule within 24 hours of receipt of payment – you may cancel your order in full and free of charge. Notify us in text form (e.g. by e-mail to hello@keepsakedeck.com, subject: cancellation + order number). Any amounts already paid will be refunded without undue delay, and no later than within 14 days, using the same means of payment you used for the order. After handover to the printer, cancellation is no longer possible. You may use the form below for this notification, but you are not obliged to.

No statutory right of withdrawal for personalised goods (§ 312g (2) No. 1 BGB)

The right of withdrawal does not apply to contracts for the supply of goods that are not prefabricated and whose production is determined by the consumer's individual choice or specification, or that are clearly tailored to the consumer's personal needs (§ 312g (2) No. 1 BGB). Your deck is produced to your individual specifications (photos, names, dedication). A statutory right of withdrawal therefore does not exist – according to the Court of Justice of the European Union (judgment of 21 October 2020, C-529/19) even if production has not yet started. We expressly inform you of this before card creation begins and before you order. Any warranty rights for printing errors or deviations not recognisable in the preview remain unaffected (see Terms § 8 Warranty).
